Boundary layer effect

Hello

Thanks to your great project, I’m applying bempp to my project (related to Maxwell equations).
Now, the final step only remains that is to calculate the electric field inside of the target with the potential operators.
I have the following results:

The center figure is the result of bempp. I found that there is a large error near the boundary due to the layer effect (singularity of green function).

Is there any option to handle this issue?

Thank you in advance.

Hello,

There are methods that can be used to make the solution accurate nearer the boundary, but none are currently implemented in Bempp. (@timo will know whether there are plans to implement any in the near future.)

As a temporary workaround, you could decrease the radius of the region that you plot to hide the increasing error.

Hello,

Thank you for your reply. I see.
I appreciate again your great project
Have a nice day.
